Julia Raye is an NYC-based singer-songwriter blending soulful pop, modern R&B, and emotionally rich storytelling. Born and raised on Long Island, she grew up performing onstage, starring in local theatre productions, and studying classical voice. She went on to earn a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, where she trained under Grammy Award winner and Metropolitan Opera alumnus George Shirley.

Drawing on her classical foundation, Julia creates contemporary pop and R&B music that combines powerful vocals, modern production, and heartfelt songwriting. Her recent singles, including “Expectations” and “Wish You Stayed,” showcase her signature blend of emotional depth and contemporary sound.
